EVERYONE NEEDS A BUDDY

Recently when I went to open the gate, there was a small dog We looked at me and he WOOFED! at me.  He and I began to have a conversation which went like this: "Well, let's go see if we can figure out how to find you a nice home.  

He followed me back to the house and when I opened the door, he beat me inside and went straight to Dianna who started yelling: "Get him Out! Get him Out! Get him Out,  - we'll keep him..(They grab your heart rather quickly)..

Since we are well into our 80s, I told her we do not need a dog at this time of our life.  Called Donal Duane and told him our plight and he and Joy came over and Joy immediately took him out for a walk She came back after awhile and said his name is  "Ralph".(I don't know why), and said they would take him home til we figure out what to do.   

Don called the next day and said his name is Buddy.  I said "How Come" and he said, just because that's what he is.  

So, they have 3 rescue cats and I thought there could be problems and the jury is still out on that.  They have their "Watch Geese" and the jury is still out on that also. 

Anyway, the Jury has decided that we do have visitation rights so at least once each week Buddy comes to spend the weekend with us which has certainly made "Sheltering in Place" a little more interesting.  Don brings him over Sat PM, we play Dominoes and he leaves Buddy with us til sometime Sunday.  He is as much at home chasing squirrels on our side of the Creek as much as he is on Donal's side of the Creek.      

 Buddy has had his nails clipped, shots, and his flirting thoughts altered. And if you would like to see exactly what he looks like, you can go to UTUBE, google "Rat Terrier" and the face looking at you will be an exact of Buddy  I sometimes think he could have been the model.  They are now considered rare....

Anyway, a Rescue can come from different directions and besides that, it's always nice to have a Buddy.  

And that's the way it is on Tadpole Road...
